A Tony Award nominee for The Man Who Came to Dinner, Ms. Smart has garnered: six Emmys; five Critics Choice Awards; three SAG awards; a Grammy nomination; as well as a Drama Desk nomination for Last Summer at Bluefish Cove. After receiving a BFA in Theatre from the University of Washington, she began her professional career with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival where she performed in Much Ado About Nothing, Long Day’s Journey into Night, and A Moon for the Misbegotten, among others. Jamie Wax
Playwright
Jamie Wax began his diverse career by touring as a stand-up comic in his teens. He went on to perform his acclaimed solo shows throughout the country. With composer Paul Taranto he created the musical Evangeline, seen nationally on PBS. They received an NEA grant to create Passages, which also became an award-winning special. Acting roles include Puck for director Barry Kyle of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Charles Thompson in Wine Lovers in New York and on tour, Toy in Guns for the Mark Taper Forum, and creative consulting and acting in Soul Doctor at NY Theatre Workshop. An Emmy-winning journalist, he has been a contributing correspondent for CBS News for over a decade. He and his family live in New York and New Orleans. For Shirley and Isola.

T Bone Burnett
Original Music Composition
T Bone Burnett has earned an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and 13 Grammys. He served as Executive Music Producer on Cold Mountain, The Hunger Games, Walk the Line, and Crazy Heart—the latter two featuring his original scores. Burnett also collaborated notably with the Coen Brothers on The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Ladykillers, and Inside Llewyn Davis. His stage credits range from Twyla Tharp’s recent How Long Blues to Sam Shepard’s Tooth of Crime.

David Mansfield
Original Music Composition
David Mansfield’s first score was for Michael Cimino’s epic western Heaven’s Gate, followed by the Golden Globe–nominated Year of the Dragon. Profundo Carmesí, the first of his six scores for Arturo Ripstein, won awards at the Venice and Havana Film Festivals. His score for the miniseries Broken Trail was nominated for an Emmy. Other film credits include Transamerica, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Songcatcher, and The Apostle. His television work includes the limited series George & Tammy and two seasons of Audible’s The Big Lie. His stage credits include Twyla Tharp’s How Long Blues. A world-renowned musician, his credits range from Bob Dylan to Bobby McFerrin to Ringo Starr.
